Royal fans convinced Meghan Markle sent Oprah Winfrey surprise Christmas hamper

Oprah Winfrey has sent royal fans into a frenzy after hinting she has received a Christmas hamper from her best pal Meghan Markle.

The celebrity took to Facebook on Sunday (December 13) to share video of a basket of plant-based lattes, sent from a neighbour named only “M”.

But she dropped a huge hint on the post with a very obvious detail that left royal fans believing the sender was the Duchess of Sussex.

She wrote: “On the first day of Christmas my neighbor ‘M’ sent to me … a basket of deliciousness! (Yes that M [with a crown emoji])

“My new drink of choice for the morning and night.”

The 66-year-old talk show host shows the products inside the bamboo-made basket – including a selection of instant coffee in different flavours and some fruits.

She says: “So we have this lovely Christmas basket, nice decorations from my neighbour M.

“We have a matcha super latte, a chai super latte and my new favourite, golden super latte.”

Oprah then demonstrates how to make it with hot water and a mini frother.

Eagle-eyed royal fans realised the hint Oprah mentioned in her post and believed she was talking about Meghan, who moved into the same neighbourhood of Montecito in Santa Barbara county with Prince Harry and son Archie in August.

One said: “Did everyone see this? Oprah posted this on Instagram and Facebook. She’s saying her neighbour M, I believe it’s the Duchess of Sussex!”

Another commented to ask if ‘M’ could refer to Madonna but a royal fan quickly replied: “I think it’s M as in MM.”

A third added: “I would also love a gift basket from Meghan. Step 1: move to Montecito.”

Meghan’s Christmas hamper was from a women-led company called Clevrblends, who created a selection of nutrition-rich instant lattes using ethically-sourced ingredients.

As soon as Oprah posted the video on her social media, fans tried to get their hands on the drinks before Christmas.

“The orders for the gifts Meghan sent Oprah have already started!” one wrote. “Hope they are well stocked!”
