Stacey Solomon has decided to take a social media break this weekend, focusing on her family after her grandmother was admitted to hospital.
The 31-year-old opened up about her grandmother’s health earlier this week, letting fans know she was determined to remain positive about the situation, even though she was upset she couldn’t visit the hospital ward.
While Stacey is usually active on Instagram Stories, sharing DIY home-makeover tips and parenting updates with her fans, the Loose Women star felt she needed a break for a couple of days.
Letting her followers know she would be spending the weekend with her mum, she shared a sweet photo of her pet dog sleeping, overlaid with the message.
“Just had an update on Grandma,” Stacey began.

“She’s doing ok and being looked after so well at the hospital. Thank you all so much for asking after her.
“It means the world. I’m going to spend the weekend helping my mum get things together and in place so I’ll be off my stories.
“I love you all to the moon and back and I can’t wait to see all of you Monday if all goes well.
“Have a lovely weekend. You deserve it.”
Born in Dagenham, Stacey has always remained close with her family throughout her rise to fame, and recently celebrated her birthday with her extended kin during a trip to Wales.

Heading to a tranquil log cabin, her longterm beau Joe Swash surprised Stacey by inviting her sister, her mum and her dad along for the trip.
Sadly, the family was shaken by news of her gran’s illness earlier this week, as the former X factor star admitted it had been “scary” when her beloved gran was first admitted to hospital.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, Stacey and her family are not permitted to visit her gran in the hospital, in an effort to reduce the spread of the virus.
Praying for her gran from home, Stacey admitted she would love nothing more than to sweep her grandmother into a cuddle.
She said: “We aren’t allowed to visit obviously because of lockdown and as much as we are desperate to give her a cuddle we hope we won’t need to visit.”
Hopefully, once the lockdown restrictions are lifted, Stacey will be able to visit her grandmother and celebrate her upcoming birthday as a family.
Stacey said: “We are thinking of you grandma ALWAYS, and hoping and praying that when this lockdown is over we can safely come and celebrate your birthday with you next month…”
