Helena Bonham Carter has shared her secret to enjoying the recent lockdown period which saw millions stuck in their homes.
The actress has advised her female fans on how they too can stay entertained, should the world face further lockdowns in the new year.
Helena, 54, who has joined forces with the dating app, Bumble, believes that sex toys are the key to staying happy.
The star who recently bowed out of her role as Princess Margaret on The Crown hopes to encourage her female fans to be independent when it comes to sexual pleasure and to stop them breaching social distancing rules.

In the tantalising campaign video for Bumble, the star is seen sprawled across a yellow armchair as she shares some advice to those struggling to date during the pandemic.
“Get a vibrator. And a weighted blanket for hugs,” she advised.
The Harry Potter actress went on to add: “Also, do nothing.
“When the world is going crazy, when you are in shock from something, these are times to do nothing, be still.”

Helana, who split from long-term partner Tim Burton in 2014, shared insights from her single friends who have attempted to date this year.
“I have single friends and I think this year has been incredibly difficult.
“Bumble have done their research and found that a lot of people who are single have felt that they’ve lost a year and they’ll never catch up, which is, of course, neurotic nonsense and totally understandable,” she said.

Dishing out more advice, the mum-of-two went on to say: “I have friends who have hit 35 and think they need to get a man or have a baby but people should just quit putting those goalposts on themselves.
“Everybody develops at a different rate just as babies learn to walk at different ages. I’m nearly 55 and I still haven’t grown up.”
However, despite the pandemic often tearing down dreams and hopes, Helena believes there is one positive to come out of not being able to meet new sexual partners.
“Maybe it’s helped people get to know each other and go slower rather than meet, drink, jump in the sack and then the morning after small talk, modus operandi of pre-pandemic dating,” she exclaimed.
