Ulrika Jonsson says she feels 'connected' to Jesy Nelson as she pens open letter

Ulrika Jonsson has penned an open letter to Jesy Nelson, following the news she had quit Little Mix this week.

The former Gladiators presenter said “they have both faced some challenges with mental health — that is what I feel has connected us.”

Ulrika, 53, also remarked in her open letter in The Sun that she has found it “painful” to witness Jesy’s struggles but that she had “sought some comfort from them because it has shown me, and the world, how perfectly human you are”.

She added: “I have to confess I was humbled by your decision to leave the group.”

She concluded her emotional statement thanking her fellow band members for all their support.

Jesy said: “Most of all I want to say thank you to Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne for creating some of the most amazing memories I’ll never forget.

“I hope that you’ll continue to fulfil all of your dreams and keep making music that people love. Love Jesy.”
