Representing his dance group at the unveiling of their stone on the monument site in London, DJ Jazzie B admits that he is ‘really proud and slightly overwhelmed.’

AceShowbiz – British band Soul II Soul have landed a spot on London’s Music Walk of Fame.

The Grammy-winning dance music group became the fourth act ever to be honoured with a stone on the monument in the city’s Camden neighbourhood.

“I’m really proud and slightly overwhelmed today. I thought it would be alright but it got really nostalgic and did bring back a lot of memories,” DJ Jazzie B said at the unveiling of their award on Friday, March 06 on behalf of the band. “Forever, whatever, it will always be London for me. A happy face, a thumping bass, Camden I love you.”

Soul II Soul are the latest musicians to be feted at the monument site, dedicated to acts which represented the neighbourhood vibe of Camden in their music. The Who, Madness and late singer Amy Winehouse, who resided in the North London community before she died, are also on the Music Walk of Fame.
