Adele has broken her silence after being accused of cultural appropriation.
The Hello songstress was slammed over the weekend after she uploaded a snap of her with Bantu knots in her hair while celebrating what would have been Notting Hill Carnival weekend.
And she’s appeared to hit back at critics with a perfect response.
Speaking on Brandy and Monica’s Verzuz Instagram live, Adele commented in Jamaican patois, saying: “‘Wah Gwaan! Yow gyal, yuh look good enuh.”
The comment appeared to be in reference to her Jamaican themed party.
Taking to her official Instagram page over the weekend Adele showed off the result of her seven stone weight loss.

Dress in skintight leggings and a Jamaican flag bra, the chart-topper looked almost unrecognisable as she posed for a pic.
Controversially she wore her hair in Bantu knots.
Adele captioned the shot: “Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London.”
Letting rip at the shot, one fan replied: “Adele dropped that weight and said it’s time for her cultural appropriation era.”

Another vented: “Dear white people, please just be yourselves and stop it for good with cultural appropriation.
“Adele the bantu knots were unnecessary. The Jamaican flag bikini top was unnecessary… Please just stop it.”
A third hit out: “Black women are discriminated against for wearing cultural hairstyles like bantu knots and locs but white people are not, that’s not fair and that’s why people are p****d off.”

Despite the backlash now everyone was annoyed at Adele’s look.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell replied with a two heart emojis.
Meanwhile, actress Zoe Saldana commented: “You look right at home guurrrl!”
