Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly reunite on day out after months apart in lockdown

Ant McPartlin and best pal Dec Donnelly have reunited once more as the pair met up in the flesh after months apart due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The beloved presenting pair, both 44, drove their followers into a frenzy after they shared a snap after meeting up to play a spot of social distancing golf.

They reunited for an afternoon of golfing yesterday afternoon, and fans were delighted to see them together again at last.

Dec wore a stylish pair of smart shorts and his bright blue golf polo shirt, posing while performing a gold swing for the reunion selfie.

Ant, also in his blue golf top, rocked the garment with a pair of navy trousers and white golf shoes, smiling at the camera with a golf club in his hands.

The Saturday Night Takeaway stars shared the selfie with their 4m followers on Instagram.

They captioned the post: “Nice tee see you. Reunited and back on the course!”

Fans flooded the snap with comments, thrilled the see the besties back together.

Ant and Dec’s golfing snap comes after they apologised for using blackface on Saturday Night Takeaway.

They posted a statement online after clips of the pair dressed up as women in blackface have been brought to the light by fans amid the Black Lives Matter movement.

The important anti-racism campaign continues to discuss issues surrounding race and racism.

Ant and Dec said in their social media post: “During past episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway we impersonated people of colour in the undercover segment of the show.

“We realise this was wrong and want to say that we sincerely sorry to everyone that was offended.

“We purposely stopped doing this several years ago and certainly would not make these sketches today.

“We had already taken steps to ensure footage was taken down and have again recently confirmed with ITV that these segments, and any other historical content, that could cause offence, does not appear on either the ITV Hub or the Saturday Night Takeaway YouTube channel.”
