Britain’s Got Talent viewers were heartbroken to see host Ant McPartlin fight back tears during last night’s show, after one particularly touching performance got the waterworks going.
Miracle the pooch, and his owner Amanda Leask, appeared on the stage before the panel of judges, acting out a routine inspired by the dog’s rescue.
Poor Miracle had been caged alongside 1,000 other dogs, destined for the Thai meat trade when Amanda discovered him.
She brought him back to the UK, with the loveable pup forming a close friendship with her son Kyle, who suffers from autism and cerebral palsy.
Telling their story last night, Amanda appeared on the stage with a puppet version of Miracle, reenacting the moment she found him in the cage.

Highlighting the atrocities of the Thai meat trade, a photo of a malnourished and abandoned Miracle appeared in the background.
Suddenly, the real-life miracle burst out from backstage, sprinting to Amanda and leaving viewers heartbroken.
Ant, who has been hosting the show with Dec Donnelly since its debut in 2007, looked like he was struggling to hold back the tears as he witnessed the act.

The 44-year-old Geordie is a proud dog lover, caring for his own beloved labrador Hurley and raising two young Maltipoos with his girlfriend Anne Marie Corbett.
Dec also has a dog with his wife Ali Astall – an adorable little Dachshund named Rocky.
Judge Alesha Dixon appeared to share the same sentiment, as she praised Amanda’s sensitivity in the performance.
She said: “We have never had anything like that on the show before, so bravo.

“The whole thing was just really emotional, you know I am a fan of the work you do Amanda, and, as David said, it’s super important.
“I really hope off the back of the show, people will get on to what you’re doing and support it because it is so important, so well done.”
Sadly, Amanda and Miracle failed to make it through to the final, as dance troupe Aaron and Jasmine won the ultimate vote.
Britain’s Got Talent returns on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
