BBC presenter shares heartwarming photo of grandparents reuniting through window

A BBC radio presenter shared a poignant snap of her grandparents reuniting through a hospital window last night.

Ronni Cook, who works for BBC Radio Kent, added that her grandparents, both 82, have been married for 62 years and that her gran’s hospital stay is the longest they have been apart.

In the snap, which was taken from a distance shows her grandfather resting with his hand through a window while poking his head in to greet his wife.

The 25-year-old brunette captioned the emotional photo: “They’ve been married for 62 years.

“This is probably the longest they’ve been apart in all that time.

“This evening my grandad found my nan’s window at the hospital.”

However, it is not clear why her gran is spending time in hospital.

Ronni confirmed to Daily Star Online that her gran’s hospital admission is not related to coronavirus.

The post which has since racked up almost 1,500 likes was instantly flooded with comments.

One follower said: “Oh Ronni, that’s so precious! Hope your Nan is ok.”

A second doting Twitter follower went on to say: “Oh Ronni, I do hope your nan will be better very soon. Tell him we’re all thinking of them.”

While a third added: “Oh that really pulled at my heartstrings I hope they get to be together again soon.”

“Hope your Nan is doing OK. Lovely, lovely picture,” penned a fourth.

The brunette bombshell has been updating her followers throughout lockdown, recently joking that she had taught her pooch Bo how to play football, despite him not understanding the offside rule.

As well as relaxing with her dog, she has also embraced nature and has taken to candle making, using real beeswax for her relaxing creations.
