Ben Shephard leaves Tipping Point players cringing as he makes 'well-hung' joke

Tipping Point presenter Ben Shephard left actress Angela Rippon cringing after he made a cheeky innuendo on the show on Sunday.

As he discussed the position of the coins during Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling’s turn, as he failed to knock any coins off the second tier.

Ben said: “Looks good doesn’t it?” before they failed to drop.

He added: “Well, looks can be deceiving,” after watching the failed go, before cheekily adding: “They’re very well-hung on that Tipping Point, but not going to drop.”

Angela looked at him as she said: “Are you sure you want to say that?”

Ben replied: “Don’t know what you mean Angela,” before quickly carrying on with the rest of the game.

Things didn’t go much better for Jeff, who was the first player to be sent home out of him, Angela and presenter Matt Edmondson.

But before he left, viewers were left stunned as the sports journalist and presenter passed on a sports question, which should have been his strong suit.

Ben asked him: “La Albiceleste is the nickname for which South American national football team?”

Jeff looked very puzzled as he replied: “Pass.”

Ben looked bemused as he said: “It was Argentina Jeff… tricky one.”

Sports presenter Jeff left viewers baffled as he passed on a football question

Fans rushed to social media to comment on Jeff not knowing a football question, as one posted: “Football pundit passes on a football question!”

Another added: “Jeff Stelling, the football pundit, passed on a question about FOOTBALL?!”

A third chipped in: “Jeff passed on a question about football.”

A fourth wrote: “Jeff, you’re a football pundit, how the f**k did you not know the Argentina football question?”
