Bill Turnbull has returned to hosting a breakfast show as he reunited with Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain today to fill in for Piers Morgan while he is on holiday.
The 64-year-old, who worked with Susanna six years ago on BBC Breakfast, was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in March 2018 but was later tragically told by doctors that he has incurable cancer.
Last year he revealed he “doesn’t know how long I have left” and has given an update on his health this morning on GMB.
After telling the panel he was “excited” to be back working with Susanna and it “felt like home”, his former BBC Breakfast co-host asked how his health is.

Bill replied: “I’m feeling pretty good still getting treatment for the moment but things are going okay.”
He says the cancer has spread to his bones and he has had nine rounds of chemotherapy.
He’s currently having injections of a tumour-busting radioactive substance, Radium 223.
Bill revealed that he has also turned to alternative treatments by trying different diets and even admitted to smoking cannabis.

He also spoke about how he has adopted a more vegan lifestyle, telling the panel: “I did a lifestyle change to feel healthier I don’t eat meat or dairy. My wife doesn’t really eat meat either.
“I like the fact there is much more to offer when it comes to vegan foods. I do love a bacon sandwich but I did it for a lifestyle change.”
Susanna couldn’t help but looked surprised when Bill said he has given up meat but praised his new way of life.

Bill continued: “I feel much healthier. I’ve also stopped drinking, not that I had a massive drinking problem, I just thought it would be easier for my body to not have to process alcohol.
“I feel great. You can taste more when you give up alcohol and I have more energy and no more headaches in the morning.”
Good Morning Britain continues tomorrow at 6am on ITV.
