Caprice slams 'irresponsible' Peter Andre as he blasts 'foolish' covid-19 tips

Caprice Bourret has hit back at Peter Andre after he called her ‘”foolish” for “undermining a doctor” on Jeremy Vine during a recent coronavirus debate.

Following her appearance on the Channel 5 show, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker blasted the American star for giving information she “read online”.

Writing in his OK! column, he put: “I didn’t see Caprice Bourret’s appearance on Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine programme last week, but I heard that she was slammed by viewers for arguing with a qualified doctor about how to contain the coronavirus.

“She apparently claimed that she knew just as much as the health experts because she’d read reports online.”

His comments didn’t go down well with the Dancing on Ice contestant who quickly called out Peter for his previous remarks.

A source close to the model told MailOnline: ”Caprice feels it was unprofessional for Pete to call someone out when he didn’t have his facts right.

“Caprice would never undermine a doctor or a specialist in their field. She was simply questioning the doctor as the World Health Organisation had contradictory information.

“It was a debate show and Caprice was directly referencing the World Health Organisation who is the authority in this space. A lot of these key facts are referenced in the media.”

The comments come after her appearance on the Jeremy Vine show was questioned by viewers after she reeled off a series of facts she had read online – insisting she knew more than the medical experts.

Appearing alongside Dr Sarah Jarvis, a GP and clinical director of the health information service Patient, Caprice ignited an argument after she refused to believe Sarah’s comments.

Dr Jarvis told her: “No disrespect, unless you have read every scientific paper and statistical modelling paper that’s come out, you cannot argue with me on that. You can have an opinion but it’s not a fact.”

Caprice insisted: “But I can, I have an opinion.

“This is what I’ve read – let me tell you the facts. In Taiwan and Singapore, what they did they early on – in week one, in February, everyone was wearing surgical masks…”
