Carol Vorderman made a stylish addition to her closet this week, after treating herself to a glamorous pair of black leather boots.
Debuting her new kicks on Saturday morning, the 59-year-old headed to BBC Radio Wales’ studios in Cardiff, pausing to snap an outfit photo for her fans.
Complete with laced-up toes and a deadly platform, the patent leather boots lengthened Carol’s pins as she posed.
The former Countdown star paired the shoes with a black minidress, featuring an asymmetrical pleat at the waist and a turtle-neck finish.
Sheathing her pins in opaque black tights, Carol stuck one hand on her hip as she posed, her blonde locks blown out in layers.
Her natural beauty taking centre stage, the maths whizz opted for barely-there makeup, simply adding a dash of mascara to lengthen her lashes.

Carol’s morning show on BBC Radio Wales has been a hit for years, as she entertains listeners with visits from celeb guests and an eclectic array of music.
Before she hit the airwaves, she uploaded the photo to Twitter, adding the hashtag “new boots” and writing: “On air with my Nathan @natsus from 1130 @bbcradiowales.”
In the comment section below, Carol’s fans gave the monochrome look their seal of approval, clearly smitten by her sense of style.
One said: “Good morning and looking fabulous as ever.. always good to see you in the mornings to put a smile on my face.”

“Not sure my blood pressure can take much more of this loveliness, but please keep posting it,” gushed a second.
And a third fan swooned: “I like your style. Hope you have an amazing week as well!!”
When it comes to fashion, Carol prefers to focus on accentuating her assets, urging her fans to dress with their figures in mind.
Speaking to Hello! about her signature style six years ago, she explained her motto was to: “Show off your good bits!”
The BBC star went on: “Show off the good and don’t stress about the bits you don’t like so much, because that is just a waste of time.”
Similarly, Carol doesn’t care for “age-appropriate” fashion, and instead urged her fans to wear whatever makes them feel good.
She continued: “If you want to wear a miniskirt, you go girl! Just do it. I wouldn’t wear a miniskirt now because my legs aren’t what they used to be ten years ago, but it’s whatever you’re psychologically comfortable with.
“Just make sure you don’t push the boundary with what you wear just because that’s what fashion dictates.”
