Cat Deeley has revealed there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as she reunited with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly earlier this year.
The trio came together to film a documentary about SMTV, titled the SM:TV Live reunion show.
However, as Cat and the lads recounted their time on the show – which formed the early years of their showbiz careers – they burst into tears.
Speaking on Radio X’s The Chris Moyles Show on Wednesday, the 43-year-old opened up about the tearful production, which will air at the end of the year.
She recalled: “We went back to the studio where we did it. They rebuilt the set. We all cried.”

Cat revealed Dec was the first to turn on the waterworks, as the others quickly followed suit while taking a trip down memory lane.
She went on: “I walked in and [Ant & Dec] were doing their interview and Dec was crying and I was like ‘ok you’re crying!’ and then at the end of my interview I was like [sobs] ‘waaah!’
“We all have a bit of a cry, we take the mickey out of each other, it’s very, very, very cute.”

Cat also confessed the documentary itself moved Ant to tears, as he watched the final edit after the production wrapped.
She said: “I actually got a text message from Ant yesterday saying he’s seen the first cut and they cried watching it too.”
Spanning nearly 300 episodes, the hit series ran for six years until finally coming to an end in 2003.
Cat, Ant and Dec were a beloved fixture of the show for the first three years, memorably acting out a skit named Chums, as a rip-off of US sitcom Friends.

During another radio appearance this week, on Heart FM, Cat revealed the trio had discussed potentially reuniting for a revamped series.
She said: “We did talk about it and go ‘could we do it again? Could we, would we, should we?’”
Reminiscing over the show’s charm, Cat added: “It’s just one of those things where you turn around and you go there’s nothing like it. You can’t get away with that kind of stuff anymore.”
