Celebrity Gogglebox's Stacey Solomon tells off Joe Swash over Gary Barlow jibe

Stacey Solomon was quick to shut her boyfriend Joe Swash down on tonight’s repeated episode of Celebrity Gogglebox, when he took a playful swipe at Gary Barlow.

Chilling in their Essex home, the couple watched Take That’s live zoom performance together, which had been recorded back in May.

Robbie Williams joined fellow band members Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald for a spectacular lockdown concert.

The wholesome gig was organised in aid of music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, and Crew Nation, which supports concert crew workers.

Stacey made it clear Joe was in the wrong during tonight’s episode

Watching the group sing via webcam, Joe started musing over keyboard player Gary, cruelly poking fun at his weight.

Branding Gary as the “fat one” in the band, he said: “When they were in Take That I didn’t like Gary Barlow.”

Luckily, Stacey was quick to point out the nastiness in the comment, as she urged her beau to take it back.

Suggesting Gary has lost weight since the band rose to fame in the 90s, Joe added: “He’s not the fat one no more.”

Looking shocked, she exclaimed: “Don’t say that! He was never the fat one.”

Taking a swipe at Robbie, Joe finished by replying: “He’s not the fat one no more, Robbie is.”

Stacey encouraged Joe to apologise over the remarks

Stacey looked exasperated as she turned her attention back to the TV, putting Joe’s comments behind her.

Roman Kemp, who appears on Celeb Gogglebox with his dad Martin, similarly made a dig at poor Gary.

Doing an impression of the former X factor star, he quipped: “I can’t watch Gary Barlow, cause he cringes me out.”

Gogglebox’s new season is due to return later this year.
