Chris Hemsworth’s wife jumps through car window after getting trapped in floods

Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky was forced to flee her car through a window after she became stuck in a flooded road on her way back home.

The 44-year-old Spanish actress posted her ordeal on Instagram and showed fans how she made the escape near her beachside £9.8 million mansion in Byron Bay, on Monday.

The area has been hit by heavy rain in the last two days.

In the clip, Elsa films the surrounding murky floodwater as she gets trapped in her van. “I got stuck, awesome,” she explains.

“Oh my God! What am I doing?”

The Fast and Furious star turns the camera to herself and pulls a frowning face before telling her followers: “My only option, through the windows.”

She clambers herself out of the dark grey Volkswagen and stands helplessly in the knee-deep water.

Another segment of the clip shows her friends, including Chris’ personal trainer Luke Zochhi, helping Elsa to tow her car out of the water.

Her children watch from afar as she makes her way towards them.

She then tells Luke: “What would I do without you?”

Elsa lives with her husband Chris, 36, and their three children – India, seven, and twins Sasha and Tristan, six – in the multi-million-pound compound.

The Thor star has taken time off from acting to spend more time with his family.

Chris will return to the screen in the role of WWE legend Hulk Hogan in an upcoming Netflix biopic.

He told Total Film in an interview that the preparation for the role will be insanely physical with brutal workouts in order to increase his muscle mass.
