Coleen Rooney 'wants Rebekah Vardy's emails and texts for court battle evidence'

Coleen Rooney is reportedly trying to get hold of Rebekah Vardy’s emails, phone records and texts to use as evidence in their £1million court battle.

Wayne Rooney’s wife is hoping to support her claim that it was Rebekah’s Instagram account that leaked information about herto the press about her.

Coleen, 34, publicly made the claim last October, in what is now known as the WAGatha Christie scandal.

The situation has now escalated to a court battle with Coleen and Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah.

According to The Sun, Coleen has met with lawyers to discuss the impending High Court libel case who have advised her they need to continue to ‘put together more evidence’.

A source told the publication: “She needs to prove that Becky was directly responsible for the leaks or, at the very least, that the information came from her social media account.

“Coleen is adamant she is right, but in a legal setting the evidence she has may not be enough to cross the threshold.”

Coleen’s team will have to successfully apply for a court order to gain access to such information.

Daily Star Online has contacted a representative of Coleen for comment.

The libel trial is set to take pace later this year at London’s High Court.

Last October Coleen sent shockwaves around the UK after taking to social media to dramatically reveal she had been planting fake stories to work out who was leaking information to the press.

She signed off the post: “It’s . . . Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

Rebekah, who was pregnant at the time of Coleen’s statement, has always denied ever leaking any information to the press.

Hitting back via Twitter at the time, Vardy publicly wrote: “As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this.

“I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me to over the years can vouch for.

“If you thought this was happening you could have told me & I could have changed my passwords to see if it stopped.

“Over the years various people have had access to my insta & just this week I found I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself.

“I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you?

“I liked you a lot Coleen & I’m so upset that you have chosen to do this, especially when I’m heavily pregnant.

“I’m disgusted that I’m even having to deny this. You should have called me the first time this happened.”
