Coronation Street star Alison King has reportedly been forced to cancel her exotic wedding abroad due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 47-year-old, who plays Carla Connor on Corrie, was due to tie the knot with her fiancé David Stuckey in an intimate ceremony in Greece next week.
However, according to reports, the bride and groom have seen their plans drawn to a halt, as travel restrictions remain in place throughout Europe.
A source said: “Alison and her future hubby were hoping there was some way they could make the wedding work despite all the restrictions.
“But in the end they ran out of options.”

The insider continued telling The Sun: “They hoped lockdown might lift enough to let them tie the knot but it proved too much of a logistical nightmare.”
Comparing the temporarily cancelled wedding to a soap storyline, the source continued: “The irony of it being like a Corrie plotline isn’t lost on them.
“They are trying to remain philosophical about the whole thing.”

Alison, who has one child from a previous relationship, first started dating David back in 2018, after their personal trainer introduced them to one another.
Speaking to OK! Magazine about their relationship, Alison explained: “My personal trainer Gareth was also training David and our sessions overlapped.
“I walked in and thought, ooh he looks nice.

“Then Gareth got to know David and realised he was single. He said he thought we’d make a really good couple, so he arranged to get us together.”
Having fallen head over heels for the stunning soap star, IT consultant David popped the question during a holiday in Portugal last year.
Getting down on bended knee while out at sea, David planned the proposal on a sunset cruise by the port at Albufeira.
The Corrie star told the publication: “It was just a few days after our one-year anniversary.
“I had an inkling he was going to pop the question because he kept putting something on my finger and going: ‘Right, close your eyes and forget this ever happened!'”
