Dancing On Ice’s Maura Higgins was spotted standing awkwardly close to her skating partner Alexander Demetriou during last night’s series finale while his wife, Carlotta Edwards stood nearby.
The former Love Island star returned to the ice rink for the first time since she split from boyfriend Curtis Pritchard earlier in the week.
Last night, reports circulated that Alexander and his wife were close to announcing they had decided to call time on their four-year marriage, something which a source at ITV claimed to be untrue.
Carlotta and Alexander have been together for 11 years but married for just four.
However, while chatting to host Holly Willougby before a group performance from eliminated celebrities Ale put his arms on Maura while Carlotta watched on just inches away.
When quizzed on how she felt about performing again, Maura exclaimed: “I can’t wait. There’s no pressure now. I’m gonna smash it.”
Carlotta was silent as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield chatted to her partner Ben Hanlin.
Days before her split from Curtis Pritchard, Maura was caught up in a backstage jealousy row.
It’s alleged that 29-year-old Carlotta didn’t trust the Irish bombshell around her husband.
Carlotta was said to have been annoyed at Maura’s partnering with Alex and later questioned her backstage motives.

However, the Candian skater shut down split rumours after she shared a loved up snap with Alexander.
Taking to Instagram, the skating star uploaded a picture with her husband while resting a hand on his pec.
Carlotta and Alexander had been seen participating in group performances during this year’s series before the winner was announced following a string of breathtaking routines.
Maura announced her split from Curtis earlier in the week, saying: “Curtis and I have made the decision to separate.
“We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.
“There is no easy way to get through a breakup and no bad feeling on either side.
“We tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be, and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future,”
