Sir David Jason wants to bring back A Touch Of Frost – adding that he has no plans to retire.
The 80-year-old actor starred as Detective Jack Frost in the drama from 1992 until 2010.
Fans loved the grumpy old-school cop who doesn’t always follow the rule book, drinks other people’s tea and leaves his home and office in a mess.
In his final story called If Dogs Run Free, viewers saw Frost reveal that he was ready to leave the police force and do something else.
Now Sir David thinks it’s time the detective put his tweed trilby back on and came back.

He said: “I certainly would love the chance to bring A Touch Of Frost back because it was a wonderful series to do.
“He was such a rewarding character to play.
“I enjoyed the fact that he was a clever, irascible sort of character trying to find the evildoers in the world. I really did enjoy it.” Sir David – who is most famous for playing Derek “Del Boy” Trotter in the sitcom Only Fools And Horses – insists he wants to continue acting.
He added: “I became an actor because I was in
love with the ability to
entertain people.
“That’s the reason why I won’t give it up.”
