Dawn O'Porter slams Caroline Flack's friends for 'betrayal' after sharing last messages

Dawn O’Porter has defended her late friend Caroline Flack – and urged her pals not to share her messages.

The Love Island host tragically took her own life on February 15 after the CPS decided to press ahead with an assault charge against her after she allegedly attacked boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Since Caroline’s death friends of the late star have taken to social media to share various direct messages and text messages from her, mainly to remember Caroline by.

But author Dawn has urged friends of Caroline not to share any messages they may have received from the former Love Island host claiming she would “hate it”.

Claiming it was his way to heal rugby star ex Danny Cipriani shared messages from Caroline to his Instagram while Kerry Katona also shared messages from Flack asking how to deal with social media trolls.

BBC host Jameela Jamil slammed Good Morning Britain’sPiers Morgan for sharing messages from Caroline about Jameela.

And Caroline’s close pal Dawn has stressed that the 40-year-old star wouldn’t be happy with her private messages being shared.

Taking to her Twitter account where Dawn boasts 380,000 followers, she said: “Can we all just agree that posting Caroline’s personal texts is a massive betrayal?

“Please consider that if for some reason you are thinking of doing it. She’d absolutely hate it.”

She also shared a screenshot of her tweet to Instagram with the message: “As if this needed to be said.”

Her followers instantly flooded the reply section – with one saying: “I’ve unfollowed some people who are doing this, makes me feel so uncomfortable.”

While a second added: “This tweet is the one everyone needs to see, Why can’t her private life just stay private? From an outside point of view, I don’t care who she contacted / what was said, just leave her be and stop making it a competition.”

A third tweeted: “Definitely!! She’d really hate it, it’s so disrespectful.”

Caroline took her own life at the age of 40

Dawn famously supported her pal after she was arrested in December following an incident with her boyfriend Lewis Burton .
