Disney Plus has seemingly hinted that it is about to release the iconic 90s show Buffy The Vampire Slayer to its new streaming service.
In its battle to take over the king of streaming services against Netflix and NowTV, Disney Plus is reportedly seeking fans’ approval on the iconic show.
Then American television series, created by writer and director Joss Whedon, aired from 1997–2003.
It featured the exploits of the Slayer, Buffy Summers and her group of friends, the Scooby Gang, as they protected Sunnydale from vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness.
And according to one Disney Plus streamer the new streaming hit has its eyes on Buffy.
One subscriber has claimed that the billion dollar company has sent out emails to its streamers asking them if they would watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Buffy’s main lead was Sarah Michelle Gellar as ‘slayer’ Buffy Summers, she also is best known for starring as Daphne in Scooby Doo.
Taking to Twitter, the subscriber shared a screen shot of the alleged email which asked fans if they would watch the show and Firefly.
The email asked its viewers to rate their interest on a five-point scale from “would you watch” to “wouldn’t watch”.
Other shows listed were Modern Family, Malcolm In The Middle and Blackish.
Rushing to give their opinions the comments were flooded with appraise from fans keen for the show to go on Disney Plus.
One said: “Look, I use Netflix – and it’s good. I use Disney+ – and it’s good.
“But I will SELL MY SOUL to the first streaming service that allows me to watch Buffy and that is a threat.”
Another tweeted: “Buffy and Firefly both in the same sentence – I’m all over this.”
