Love Island’s Dr Alex George has told how he has been targeted by a cruel troll after posting on social media in the wake of his brother’s death.
Alex’s brother Llyr passed away last month, with the reality star revealing his brother’s death was related to mental health issues.
In a heartwrenching turn of events, Dr Alex was abused by the troll on Instagram after he shared a picture of a beach he was visiting, writing “good for the soul”.
The vile troll questioned why he had been posting on social media, saying: “your brother is dead get off social media.”
Alex hit out at the troll for attacking him when he was “holding by a thread”.

Sharing the troll’s message with his followers, Alex said: “Imagining being this person. I’m holding by a thread and you get people like this.”
He also defended his decision to post about his brother’s death, saying: “I am honest and open with you all.
“The good, the bad and the ugly.
“There is so much that isn’t shared online of course. So many of you are so kind and message me each day with well wishes.

“I often post to let you know I am still going strong x.”
The TV star laid Llyr to rest earlier this week, and then shared an emotional tribute to his younger sibling, vowing to follow through with his dreams in his memory.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a fond memory, that showed Alex lovingly place his arm around the shoulder of his little brother Llŷr.

The 29-year-old beamed a smile at the camera as he placed one hand in the pocket of his jeans while his brother, who aspired to follow in his footsteps, stood proudly by his older brother.
His tearjerking post and pledge to Llŷr arrived just a day after his brother’s funeral.
It read: “Yesterday I said goodbye to my little brother Llŷr. It was the hardest day of my life. Except it wasn’t goodbye. Llŷr, your dream was to become a doctor, you will live that dream.
“Every patient I see, we will do it together, you and I.”
