Eamonn and Ruth slammed by This Morning fans for 'slating' Meghan and Harry

This Morning viewers have urged Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford to stop “sl*gging off” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the show.

The husband and wife presenting duo were back on our screen on Friday to present the latest edition of the ITV daytime show.

Eamonn and Ruth, both 60, chatted to guests Giles and Nadine about the latest news across the globe as part of the This Morning View segment.

The famous foursome chatted about Prince Harry and Meghan once again today and viewers were not impressed.

It comes after Harry and Meghan’s tour in Africa last October was the most expensive royal trip of the year, costing £246,000 for travel alone.

The Royal Family has released the Sovereign Grant accounts, which show how taxpayer money has funded them over the course of the year.

Harry and Meghan took a 10-day tour to South Africa, with their son Archie, and Harry then went to Angola, Malawi and Botswana on his own.

It was their first and last tour abroad as senior Royal Family members, as they took an extended break afterwards, and then decided to step back from their roles.

ITV viewers rushed to their keyboards to suggest that Eamonn and Ruth stop talking about Prince Harry and Meghan on the show.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Sl*gging off Harry and Meghan again, bore off.”

Another ranted: “Can’t we just leave Harry and Meghan alone?! You lot need new stories.”

A third raged: “Ugh, we’re doing the same old Harry & Meghan song and dance again”

While a fourth posted: “Ruth can’t hide her hate for Meghan.”

“Here we go with the daily Meghan & Harry bashing,” a fifth fan moaned.

“I swear Eamonn and Ruth talk about Meghan and Harry every single day,” another moaned.

According to the accounts, Prince Harry and Megan’s flights alone cost the palace nearly quarter of a million pounds.

However, Prince Charles had the most expensive trip.

His two day visit to Oman to pay his condolences after the death of Sultan Qaboos bin Said cost £210,345 in flights.

Eamonn and Ruth welcomed author Ben Miller to the show today and Gok Wan cooked up a storm in the studio kitchen.

The dynamic duo present This Morning every Friday while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield present the show Monday to Thursday.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
