EastEnders actor James Bye had an unexpected visitor during his appearance on Lorraine today, as his two sons popped into the shot.
The 36-year-old chatted with host Lorraine Kelly via video call, describing EastEnders’ return to production and the juicy new storylines on the horizon.
However, as Lorraine quizzed the Martin Fowler actor about his experience of lockdown, two of his children started wandering into the shot.
The dad-of-three hoisted one son onto his knee, only for the other to ask to be picked up.
Clearly a little red-faced over the adorable interruption, James explained: “This is what it’s been like, Lorraine, for three months.”

Lorraine cooed over the youngsters, saying: “They’re absolutely gorgeous.”
Eventually, James popped the little lads back to the floor, saying: “I’ll let them charge around now, they’re watching Peppa Pig and all sorts.”
James and his wife Victoria Bye had an “emotional” day, as they watched their eldest son, Edward, return to school post-lockdown.

He confessed: “So I think today has been quite an emotional day saying goodbye to Edward after six months of having him home.”
James also touched on a few juicy spoilers for the newest episodes of EastEnders, which are due to air next week.
Martin is caught up in a relationship with Ruby Martin (Louisa Lytton), with the lovebirds having seen their romance blossom during the lockdown.

However, the return of Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) signals danger for the sweethearts, as Martin comes face-to-face with his ex.
Actor James teased: “Lacey is back. It’s funny because before I got the script I didn’t know how it would play out.
“There’s some massive scenes between the three of us, particular between Lacey and Louisa.”
With EastEnders returning to our screens in a matter of days, we can hardly wait to catch up on the drama.
Lorraine airs on weekdays at 9am on ITV.
