Ellen DeGeneres has revealed she will be addressing the “toxic” workplace claims which have circulated about her and her show over the last few months.
The 62-year-old comedian made the announcement as she told fans that despite the hefty backlash, her talk show will be back for its season 18.
Releasing a statement ahead of the premiere, she said: “I can’t wait to get back to work and back to our studio.”
Addressing the scandal, she added: “And, yes, we’re gonna talk about it.”
The show will reportedly be filmed without a live audience due to the coronavirus pandemic but will still be filmed in the studio.

According to Variety, Tiffany Haddish will join Ellen in the studio on the program’s famous stage.
And many famous faces have signed up to appear on the show including Chrissy Teigen, Alec Baldwin and Kerry Washington.
New mum Katy Perry’s fiancé Orlando Bloom is also making an appearance, after his soon to be wife publicly backed Ellen and defended her.
Ellen’s show is under investigation by Warner Brothers following the “toxic workplace” claims and three of its senior producers have been fired.

A spokesperson for the production company confirmed that producers Ed Galvin, Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman have “parted ways” with The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The Ellen Show’s resident DJ, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has since been promoted to co-executive producer.
It’s believed the trio were slapped with the news via a group video conference call last month.
Ellen issued a personal note to her production staff, reading: “I’m so so sorry for what this has become. I’ve left this to be a well-oiled machine, and I realise it’s not a machine… its human beings.”

She added: “I apologise for anyone who’s feelings I’ve hurt. I’m not perfect. I’m multi-layered and I learn from my mistakes.
“I care about each and every one of you. I’m grateful for each and every one of you.”
It was also revealed that executives including Andy Lassner, Derek Westervelt and Mary Connelly will remain in their jobs.
Last month, Ed Galvin, Kevin Leman and Jonathan Norman were named in a Buzzfeed article surrounding claims of harassment and misconduct on the set of the American talk show.
It’s believed that Ellen was not involved in any of the incidents and she has always insisted that she aimed for her show to be a “happy” place for employees.
