Tony joked: “I love having a lanyard on it makes me feel official.”
He continued: “They’ve done a fantastic job in making this workable, we’ve got paired down crews and a paired down number of cast.”
Tony then gave fans an insight into behind the scenes social distancing as he said each actor has their own individual versions of a specific prop so that there is no contamination on set.

He said: “One thing to say we’re doing with props is we have our own props boxes, so if I’m putting a drink on the counter the drink goes down, we stop filming, I put my drink back in the box and another character will take their own drink and then take it off, so we’ve thought of hopefully everything.”
Viewers loved seeing Tony on This Morning and flooded him with messages on Twitter.
One said: “It was lovely to see you on this morning. Can’t wait for more episodes of the best programme on TV. Good luck.”
While another gushed: “Really enjoyed @TonysTrials interview on @thismorning. Can’t wait for tonight’s episode and the special lockdown episodes of Emmerdale.”
