The 50-year-old, who plays Cain Dingle on the ITV soap, has adopted an adorable puppy dog named Donald in recent weeks.
Jeff, who is married to his co-star Zoe Henry – who plays vet Rhona Goskirk – revealed their two children were delighted to welcome the loveable pup into their clan.
Chatting to panellists Linda Robson, Saira Khan, Janet Street-Porter and Ruth Langsford, he joked about Donald’s naughty streak, saying: “Don’t be fooled by that cuteness!”

While the family have another gorgeous pooch named Rita, Jeff revealed his son Stan, 12, was too young to appreciate Rita’s puppy years at the time.
He explained: “Now he’s getting to relive the full experience of that.”
Looking at a photo of the cockapoo, the Loose Women panellists branded the little creature as “adorable,” swooning over the pup from the ITV studios.

“I think again in these times it’s about trying to find the positives in the negatives.”
In the coming months, Jeff revealed there will be no dramatic events from fires to car crashes on the soap – instead, the drama will be more emotional than explosive.
He said: “There’s going to be less event-based episodes. We’re going to be going back to kitchen sink dramas.”
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
