Emmerdale villain DI Malone (Mark Womack) is getting his nose in everyone’s business, and next week comes between Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and his estranged wife Moira (Natalie J Robb).
Malone has been sleeping with vicar Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) after causing plenty of trouble for her now-fiancé Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).
But it appears his focus changes to messing with Moira, as revealed in new Emmerdale spoilers for next week.
Struggling with her guilt over the affair, Harriet prays to God for forgiveness over what she’s been getting up to.
But she meets up with Malone at the church and, despite her protests, it seems as though she and Malone are about to kiss.
The duo are soon interrupted by Moira, though.
Harriet can’t bring herself to lie and confesses all to Moira, telling her about her affair with Malone.
Moira is left even more stunned when Harriet tells her about Cain’s involvement with Malone’s dodgy dealings at the garage.
Will confronts Cain at the Woolpack and tells him that Malone is back on the scene.
Cain goes and confronts Malone and warns him to stay away from Emmerdale.
Malone tells Cain that he has a new interest in the village though – being Harriet – however Cain wrongly assumes he’s talking about Moira.
Later on, Malone breaks in and threatens Moira into keeping quiet about his affair with Harriet.
As he leaves, an angry Cain discreetly watches him from afar and is now convinced that he and Moira are having a secret affair.
However his concern doesn’t last long as he gets a call to say Moira’s been the victim of a hit and run.
Could Malone have run Moira over to keep his affair with Harriet a secret?
Or could Cain have been involved, coming from a place of anger?
More importantly, will Moira survive the accident?
Emmerdale continues Wednesday at 7pm on ITV
