As temperatures plummet across the country, Lucy Verasamy made it clear she felt nostalgic for last year’s Bank Holiday weekend heatwave in her latest Insta post.
Wearing a cropped denim miniskirt, the 40-year-old GMB weather expert could be seen soaking up the sunshine as she delivered a news report outdoors.
Lucy paired the look with nude heels, lengthening her tanned pins as she spoke about the soaring temperatures before the cameras.
With her brunette locks styled into a bob and a chic white shirt with a sleeveless tee on top, the ITV star upped the fashion stakes in the newsroom.
Comparing last year’s heat to the rainy forecast this weekend, Lucy poked fun at the weather report, musing: “Live outside broadcasts on last years August bank holiday – our hottest on record.
“This year I’m thinking of putting the heating on!”
In the comment section below, her 134,000 followers piled the compliments high, praising her sophisticated signature sense of style.
One swooned: “Looking great!”
“Absolutely stunning lady,” added a second.
And a third chimed: “You look so elegant, Lucy.”
Lucy has been a beloved fixture of the ITV team for the past decade, having landed a gig on Daybreak back in 2010.

Since then, she has become ITV News’ leading weather expert, delivering reports of rain and sunshine up and down the country every evening.
Three years ago, she joined Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on the GMB team, waking up the nation with reports of storms and gales depending on the season.
On top of that, the GMB favourite was due to join Phillip Schofield in presenting a brand-new series earlier this year, but lockdown restrictions pushed the project back.
