Good Morning Britain presenter Alex Beresford took a swipe at a guest on today’s show, as the conversation turned to self-help books.
The 39-year-old made it clear from the beginning of the segment that he didn’t believe in self-help literature, preferring to boost his mood through positive activities.
Psychotherapist Owen O’Kane appeared on the show, discussing his book Ten to Zen: Ten Minutes a Day to a Calmer, Happier You, which was published two years ago.
In a subtle dig, Alex asked Owen to read out the “best line” in his book, adding: “I don’t have time to read it.”
Thankfully, Owen accepted the jibe graciously and refused to hit back, instead sharing his favourite quote from his best-selling meditation guide.

Meanwhile, on Twitter, certain viewers were floored by Alex’s cheeky remark, as they took to their keyboards to weigh in.
One said: ” For ‘I don’t have time to read your book’ read ‘I’m not really interested in your book’.”
And a second remarked: “Alex ‘I don’t have time to read your book’ At least he’s honest.”

Today was Alex’s first-ever presenting stint on GMB, filling in for regular host Ben Shephard for the coming weeks.
Discussing his nerves ahead of today’s show with Kate Garraway, Alex revealed a sleepless night had made him feel even more anxious about his debut.
“I am very excited, everyone keeps saying they are very excited for me, I’m also very nervous.”

Kate asked: “Did you get any sleep last night, because it’s a bit nerve-wracking?”
Laughing, Alex revealed: “So I checked into the hotel yesterday, all was fine, and then at about one-o’clock this morning, a couple next door decided to have a row about whose career was more important.
“And I wanted to knock on the door and say, ‘Actually I’ve got a pretty big job tomorrow myself!'”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
