Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid has revealed she recently confronted two men for dropping rubbish in her local supermarket car park.
The 49-year-old television presenter, who is the co-star of Piers Morgan, has revealed the reason why she berated the men for “turning Britain into a dustbin” in her latest column.
Susanna penned: “Good on the volunteers who cleaned up the litter left on Bournemouth beach, Clapham Common and all over Liverpool after the football team’s Premier League win.
“Whatever happened to ‘Take your litter home with you’?
“I hate seeing rubbish on the street and often pick it up and put it in the bin. But two problems have put paid to that habit.”

She continued in the Daily Mail column: “Firstly, the virus means no one wants to touch anything. Secondly, there is a terrible absence of bins in my area.
“They have gradually been removed from useful places as they would overflow and attract fly-tipping.

“It must be an age thing — I would never have had the courage to do that when I was younger.
Susanna added: “They were stunned into silence when I drew their attention to the bin outside the shop — and my heart was pounding as I walked away.
“For heaven’s sake, put it in the bin or take it home.”
The comments come as GMB fans were baffled as Susanna was ‘missing’ from the ITV show today.
She usually hosts Thursday’s show, despite Piers being off, but instead was replaced by Ranvir Singh today.
