Gogglebox fans were left completely stunned after Sid Siddiqui turned up on the Channel 4 favourite rocking a totally radical hairdo.
Sid, 74, who has been a regular on the show since 2013, captivated all of the attention on yesterday evening’s episode as he took to his mint green sofa to review and discuss topical issues and current TV programmes.
However, it was the father-of-five’s vibrant tresses that seemed to spark up a lot of social media traction as fans took to Twitter to share their shock.
One surprised Gogglebox viewer, penned: “Sorry. Can we talk about Sid’s purple hair!?”

Another Tweet read: “Am I crazy or is this man’s hair purple?”
While a third spectator seemed to be slightly unsure what they had just witnessed, as instead they asked: “Has Sid had a purple rinse?”
The Derbyshire hero and his two sons Baasit and Umar have become household favourites and a permanent fixture on Googlebox for over seven years now.
Back in April, the former NHS worker, who trained as an engineer, gave fans quite a scare after he was absent from Gogglebox.
This was just at the height of the coronavirus pandemic with many of his followers suspecting he may have contracted the deadly virus at the time.
After the rumour mill had spun into overdrive, with speculation mounting about his noticeable non-attendance, Sid took to his social media account to alert fans that he was doing ok.
He wrote: “A big hi to all my friends, I don’t feel you’re fans but my best and close friends.
“I am sorry for my absence from Gogglebox, your kind and beautiful messages always overwhelm me with a touch of sadness.
“These difficult times will pass. Please be strong be safe.”
Due to social distancing rules at the time, when family bubbles weren’t yet a thing, the show was forced to go ahead without the head of the family.
Despite missing out on all the fun until government measures were amended, he did eventually make a grand return and his fanbase was absolutely elated to see him fit and well.
