Piers Morgan made his return to Good Morning Britain yesterday after revealing he had signed a new contract valid until the end of 2021.
The former newspaper editor sits alongside co-anchor Susanna Reid on the breakfast show and regularly rattles viewers sat at home, while millions praise the dad-of-five.
However, it appears that not everybody was impressed with his return which sparked 76 complaints to the broadcasting watchdog, Ofcom.
Ofcom claims that the “complaints related to a range of issues, not specifically Piers Morgan”.
Piers is no stranger to receiving complaints, having had 4,000 filed to Ofcom since the start of 2020.

Returning to the programme, he took a swipe at Conservative MP Dominic Cummings who has recently come under fire for “destroying lockdown” and flouting his own advice.
An irritated Piers said: “Why don’t we call it what it is, Dominic Cummings is a liar.
“He broke the rules we know it, everyone knows it… they’re not gonna shut me down, he broke every rule there is to break.”

Speaking to The Sun’s TV Mag, Piers added that he will remain on screens until next year.
He said: “I’ve just signed a new contract up for GMB until the end of next year.
“I love working with Susanna and the team – we’re a Ying Yang that works.”

The outspoken panellist also slammed viewers who complain about his to-the-point presenting skills while grilling interview subjects.
He claimed that he “doesn’t care” about any negative backlash and was thrilled that Ofcom had cleared him of all complaints.
“If my style upsets people, don’t watch! Watch something else.
“Nobody’s forcing anyone to watch it.

“You’ve got a remote control in your hand, I really don’t understand what the problem is,” he added.
The former Britains Got Talent judge added: “I don’t care. I only care about Ofcom complaints if I genuinely feel that I have been at fault, then you know you’re a fool.
“Ofcom ruled very heavily in my favour, which confirmed my belief that I’m just doing my job. The job of broadcasters, particularly during a crisis like this, is to challenge and ask questions.
“My frustration and anger on-air come about when ministers are completely incapable of answering even basic questions.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV One.
