Good Morning Britain Kate Garraway calls out show editors for name gaffe live on air

Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway spotted a name gaffe on today’s show, and called out her editor on air.

Advil Ray and Kate Garraway were presenting today’s show, with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid enjoying some time off.

However, Kate wasn’t happy when she was introduced, and she called out

It seemed Adil’s name was given more emphasis than Kate’s, and the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star didn’t let GMB get away with it.

Adil joked: “Welcome to the show, Adil Ray joined by Kate Garraway.”

Kate said: “Erm, this is an issue.”

She spoke to the show’s editor using her ear-piece, saying: “I’m going to just clarify, is it alphabetical? Not to do with love?”

Kate continued: “It’s alphabetical, says the editor nervously.”

Adil pointed out: “By first names…”

Kate laughed and realised, saying: “Oh yeah” while Adil added: “It’s in my contract.”

Yesterday’s hosts Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh suffered an on air blunder.

The duo were not paying attention and didn’t realise they were live on air.

Ranvir was busy on her phone, while Richard was engrossed in writing notes.

They were completely distracted from their presenting duties, not realising the camera was rolling.

Sean Fletcher had just finished reading today’s headlines and it went quiet when he finished speaking as he waited for Ranvir and Richard to speak.

Sean said: “Caught you out didn’t I… hello?”

The pair became red-faced as they chuckled, realising their mistake.

Ranvir laughed before saying: “Right, still ahead on Good Morning Britain…” and continued hosting the show.

Good Morning Britain continues tomorrow at 6am on ITV
