Harry Redknapp leaves Gogglebox fans red-faced with 'rude' Sandra comment

Gogglebox fans were in for a treat this evening as the Channel 4 show returned to our screens with the second episode of the celebrity series.

A host of Britain’s best-loved personalities turned their hand to being telly critics once again tonight as they reacted to the latest shows on the box.

The famous faces offered their opinions on a variety of shows such as Amazon Prime series Little Fires Everywhere and the iconic 1966 World Cup Final between England and West Germany.

Viewers witnessed former football manager turned television personality Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra watch an episode of ITV daytime show This Morning and things quickly turned fruity between the married couple.

This Morning’s consumer expert Alice Beer chatted to presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about which foods should be kept in the fridge.

Alice asked Holly and Phillip where they kept their melons during the segment.

Watching the show from the comfort of his sofa, I’m A Celeb star Harry, 73, quipped: “I know where Sandra’s melons are.”

Channel 4 viewers were left gobsmacked at the king of the jungle’s racy comment.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Cheeky Harry”

Another added: “Dirty Harry”

A third posted: Get rid of them all but just keep Harry and Sandra. Them two are quality.”

A fourth gushed: “I absolutely love Harry and Sandra.”

After meeting in a pub, Harry and Sandra, 74, tied the knot four years later in 1967.

The pair have been married for 52 years and still going strong.

Harry stated during his time in the jungle that he has never ironed his own shirt, cooked or cleaned for himself through their marriage.

He revealed that he has never had a row with his better half but has accidentally run over her foot.

The couple has two sons – Jamie and Mark.

Former England footballer Jamie played under his dad at Southampton and West Ham, while also turning out for Liverpool and Tottenham.

The 45-year-old was married to pop singer Louise for 19 years before getting a divorce in December 2017.

They have two sons, Charley and Beau.

Harry and Sandra’s other son Mark is a model.
