Disgraced former Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has now transferred to a notorious state prison east of Buffalo, New York as he starts his 23-year sentence for rape and sexual assault.
The New York State Department Of Corrections website confirmed that Weinstein had been moved to Wende Correctional Facility yesterday, February 19, just one day before his 68th birthday.
Official documents have confirmed that the 68-year-old who was once one of Hollywood’s most influential men has been moved from Rikers Island.
The site claims his earliest release date is November 9, 2039 with the latest he can be released is February 23rd 2043.

Weinstein was jailed for 23 years by a New York judge on February 24 after being convicted of sexually assaulting a production assistant at his apartment in 2006 and also for third-degree rape of an aspiring actress in 2013.
His conviction was hailed as a victory for the #MeToo movement against sexual misconduct by powerful men.
Prosecutors on the case portrayed Weinstein as a serial predator who had successfully manipulated women by promising them a career in Hollywood before luring them back to a hotel room and overpowering and violently attacking them.

Over 100 women including famous actresses came forward and accused him of sexual misconduct which stretched back decades.
He has denied all allegations and claimed that any sex was consensual.
Weinstein pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting former production assistant Mimi Haleyi and raping Jessica Mann, an aspiring actress.

The disgraced star also faces separate charges in Los Angeles.
Following his sentencing earlier this month, he was taken to New York’s Rikers Island jail before being rushed to hospital several hours later.
He was treated for ongoing heart issues at Bellvue Hospital in the city but was sent back to Rikers earlier this week his spokesperson confirmed.

One of many women who stepped forward, Sopranos actress Annabella Sciorra, told jurors Weinstein came into her apartment one winter night in 1993 or 1994 and raped her.
However, prosecutors claimed it was too old to be charged as a separate crime but offered it to show Weinstein was a repeat sexual offender.
