Holly Willoughby spots awkward issue with Alison Hammond's hack on This Morning

Alison Hammond was back on This Morning earlier today – much to fans’ delight – showcasing her newest batch of handy home decor hacks.

Unfortunately, Holly Willoughby couldn’t help but find a problem with one hack, pointing out a major issue with the invention.

Holly and Phillip Schofield watched from the sidelines as Alison waved about her hacks, ironing ties with her hair straightener and holding up scarves with plastic pack rings.

One invention left Holly baffled, however, as Alison showed off a pink and yellow dress with a ribbon pinned on to the zipper.

Alison claimed the ribbon attachment makes it easy for someone to zip up a dress by themselves, without needing a helping hand.

However, Holly then wondered who would remove the safety pin attachment once the dress was on.

Lost for words, Alison agreed the wearer would need help to remove the pin – defeating the purpose of the hack.

As Holly bent over in tears of laughter, Alison suggested the safety pin could be left on, urging wearers to simply tell people “you’ve got no friends” as an explanation.

The former Big Brother star swiftly moved on to her final hack – a backwards hoodie transformed into a popcorn serving dish for movie nights.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were thrilled to see Alison return to their screens, praising her sunny personality and onscreen charisma.

One swooned: “Alison is a breath of fresh air.”

“Safety pin! I love Alison #ThisMorning,” added a second.

A third chimed: “Alison is the queen of daytime tv #ThisMorning.”

And a fourth begged: “Alison needs her own show.”

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV
