Katie Price has come under fire from animal campaigners after it emerged her daughter’s new puppy suffocated to death when it was crushed by an electric-powered armchair.
Former Page 3 star Katie claims that the French bulldog puppy, Rolo, who was a gift for her daughter, died instantly after being caught in the mechanism of the chair.
It’s believed Katie wasn’t in the room when the puppy died.
Pricey, 42, gave the puppy to her daughter Princess, 13, just three weeks ago for her birthday.
It’s claimed that the pooch was found lifeless by Katie’s daughter, Bunny, five.

Mum-of-five Katie broke the news over the phone to Cheshire-based breeders, JRC Bullies, who are said to have gifted the dog to the star, informing them that she was in another room packing bags wen the tragedy occurred.
A spokesperson for JRC Bullies told The Mirror that Katie was left “strict instructions” not to leave the new puppy unattended.
Speaking to Daily Star Online today, a representative for the company said: “I am heartbroken for Princess.
“I don’t have blame for Katie or anything bad to say about her. But I am devastated that Rolo did not get 100 per cent attention or focus if Princess was away.
“He should have been supervised at all times, which I believe Princess did do, as I kept in contact with Princess.”
They went on to say that they “thoroughly checked Katie’s home before handing over the puppy.”

They added: “We had a long talk with Katie and she had a lot planned out. The dog was never meant to be getting left if Katie was going away, as we made a deal I [JRC Bullies] would look after the pup if she was ever away, or on business.”
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Katie said that Rolo’s death was the result of a “tragic accident”.
However, fans are calling for Katie to investigated by animal rights groups after the death of a fourth animal which had been left in her care.
Katie’s Alsatian, Sparkle, died after being hit by a car in February, while her other dog, Queenie, died after she was hit by a takeaway delivery van.
Her horse was also killed in a crash.
Elisa Allen, director of animal rights group PETA has unleashed a scathing attack on the model: “Katie must not be allowed to acquire any more animals. At least three dogs and one horse have died on her watch in the last few years alone.
“Her attitude is costing wonderful animals their lives, so PETA urges her – and anyone else unable to provide animals with appropriate care – to fill their homes with cuddly toys instead.”.
