Indian actor Susheel Gowda has died aged 30 after taking his own life, according to reports.
The star, who was best known for his role on the romantic serial Anthapura, died in his home town of Mandya.
According to Times of India, Gowda took his own life yesterday.
Also qualified as a fitness instructor, the budding star was working to establish himself as a name in the Kannada film industry.
His final role was in the yet-to-be-released film Salaga, in which he played a police officer alongside lead actor Duniya Vijay.
Since news of Gowda’s death broke earlier today, tributes from his fellow actors have been flooding in on social media.
Actress Amita Ranganath, who worked alongside Gowda in the past, said: “I got the news from my friend.
“I still can’t believe that he is no more. He was such a sweet and soft hearted person who never loses his cool.

“It’s been very sad to know that he has left us so early. He had the talent to achieve more in the entertainment industry.”
Aravind Koushik, who directed Anthapura, also paid tribute to the actor in a post shared via Facebook.
It read: “Sad news I heard. Susheel Gowda who played the lead in the tv serial Antahpura that I directed is no more. Rest in Peace.”
His death follows that of high-profile Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who left the industry stunned when he took his own life on June 14.
Making a name for himself on Star Plus’s romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, he later went on to star in the Zee TV soap opera Pavitra Rishta.
