ITV News anchor coronavirus heartbreak as family suffer and friend dies amid pandemic.
Journalist and newsreader Charlene White warned her Twitter followers to stay at home after coronavirus affected her personally.
She told her 21.8k followers: “A family friend lost her life yesterday. My brother-in-law’s been seriously ill for over a week. My cousin’s currently in ICU.
“Hoping my uncle’s discharged before he gets it in hospital. It’s currently on his ward. So yeah, coronavirus doesn’t discriminate. Just stay at home.”
The media personalities followers flooded the comments with support for the tv star.
One said: “Much love & strength to you & yours Charlene, stay safe.”

While another wrote: “Oh Charlene I’m sorry to hear this. Sending strength to you and your family x”
A third added: “Sorry to hear, Charlene. All best wishes.”
Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid sent Charlene a message of love and support, saying: “So sorry Charlene x”
Her news comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson was announced to have coronavirus, with many celebrities flooding Twitter with their responses.
GMB host Piers Morgan said: “Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus. Now self-isolating at No10, but will still handle Govt. handling of crisis. Wish him well, and also wish he gets our NHS health workers the same test – fast.”
In a more light-hearted post, he joked he was “ready to serve” as PM, as he shared a photo of himself and Susanna Reid outside 10 Downing Street.
The Apprentice star Lord Alan Sugar wished the PM well, saying: “Wishing @BorisJohnson a speedy recovery.”
While Love Island’s Dr Alex George wrote: “PM Boris Johnson has confirmed he has tested positive for coronavirus. I wish him a speedy recovery.”
