Jaden Smith slams Shane Dawson for 'sexualising sister Willow when she was 11'

Jaden Smith has publicly slammed YouTube star Shane Dawson after a video resurfaced of the YouTuber acting inappropriately in front of a poster of his sister Willow.

The son of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, who starred in After Earth with his father, called out the 31-year-old after the video began recirculating online.

In the video which was filmed and uploaded to his YouTube channel years ago, which currently has 22.8million subscribers, Dawson can be seen appearing to pretend to masturbate in front of a poster of Willow, Jaden claims she was 11-years-old at the time.

Fans took to Twitter to call out Dawson, with many fans claiming the YouTube documentary creator was 18-years-old when he set the video live.

In the resurfaced video, Dawson makes references to Willow’s hit song, Whip My Hair.

The siblings’ mum was the first to jump in and take to her own official Twitter account to call out the shamed star.

Tweeting to her 1.4million followers, Jada wrote: “To Shane Dawson … I’m done with the excuses.”

Not long after, Willow’s older brother Jaden took to his account to tweet about the incident to his 8million followers.

Revealing he is “disgusted”, he wrote: “You sexualising an 11-year-old girl who happens to be my sister… is the furthest thing from funny and not OK in the slightest bit.”

He added: “This man was also doing blackface on the regular,” before he then urged young people to “support creators who support us and our morals”.

Referring again to Dawson’s behaviour, he said: “This is not okay.”

Dawson recently took to his YouTube channel to upload an apology video apologising for using blackface in his old videos.

“Blackface was something that I did a lot,” he said. “Like, I did it a lot on my channel. There’s no excuse for it, there’s literally no excuse.”

“I made a video six years ago talking about it and I gave excuses, I knew it was wrong, I knew I never wanted to do it again, but I didn’t do the work.

“I didn’t actually look into the history of it and why it’s so wrong, and why people were so upset,” he continued.

“Because my ‘excuse’ [was] “I was just being funny, I love black people, I’m not a racist.

“I was trying to be funny.’ All of that is stupid and wrong. And I put that onto the internet as an adult, and that is insane. I’m so sorry.”

Daily Star Online has contacted Dawson’s representatives for comment.
