Joey Essex left in tears after furious Celebs SAS row with Lauren Steadman

Celebrity SAS: Who Dare Wins star Joey Essex ends up in a blazing argument with Paralympian Lauren Steadman in dramatic scenes set to air next week.

A surprising row erupts on the Channel 4 show when former TOWIE star Joey, 29, is paired on a disastrous task with former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Lauren, 27.

Tensions rise when Joey asked Lauren, who was born missing her lower right arm, why she can’t carry two objects when they are paired on a disastrous task.

Lauren bursts into tears and threatens to knock out the Essex native.

Instructor Jason Fox demands an explanation for the growing aggression between the duo and Joey admits his behaviour stems from the suicide of his mum, Tina.

Breaking down in tears, an emotional Joey, who lost his when he was 10 years old, said: “Since I was a kid I’ve never trusted anyone, really.

“One day she was there, one day she was gone. I could never understand, why. I know my mum loved me, so I don’t know.

“My dad kneeled down and I remember him just grabbing my head and saying something along the lines of ‘Mummy’s gone’.

He added: “I still didn’t really understand.

“It was like crazy. ‘No she can’t be gone, she can’t be gone. She’ll come back, she’ll come back — why would she leave me?’

“I’ve just started to process it, being able to talk about it openly and saying the word ‘mum’, three or four years ago.”

A tearful Lauren is also grilled by the instructors, who say they are the disappointed that she is struggling to work with other people.

In one year, Lauren had taken all three titles – British, European and World Champion – for the first time, and graduated from university with first-class honours in 2014.

Putting them through the tough course yet is Chief Instructor Ant Middleton and his team of Directing Staff Foxy, Billy, Ollie and newest member Jay.

The DS doesn’t care how famous the recruits are, how many followers they have or what they have done before this. As soon as they enter the selection process, their celebrity status will be stripped away.

The famous faces are taking part in the special celebrity series in order to raise as much money as possible for Stand Up To Cancer.

Will Joey and Lauren manage to see eye to eye following their fiery spat?
