Katherine Jenkins has spoken for the first time about a horror incident when she was mugged as she stepped in to save a pensioner.
The Welsh opera singer was on her way for a charity gig rehearsal last December when she saw a woman being robbed.
However, The Masked Singer star said the mugger turned on her and attacked her also.
Talking about the upsetting incident, songstress Katherine, 39, said: “She was clearly in distress, screaming for help.
“So many people just walked past. It was an instinct to rush over and I got attacked as well.”

The star continued telling The Sun: “I didn’t consider that people might know who I am. If it happened again I’d do it again.”
Katherine, who later still sang in the charity show, said said she was “shaken up” to begin with, but that her instinct was to “keep going”.
A 15-year-old girl walked free from court after admitting to taking the star’s iPhone back in January.
A concertgoer at the charity gig said after: “Katherine was brilliant as ever but I sensed a little spark missing in her voice.”

Katherine has opened up in past about how she fought off a would-be rapist when she was just 17 years old.
The star said she was punched and thrown against a wall as she struggled to escape from the man, whose face she will never forget.
The ordeal happened while Jenkins was a student after she was separated from friends following a night out.
