Liam Gallagher’s solo material was mocked by brother Noel Gallagher over the weekend – and it didn’t go down well with the former Oasis frontman.
The pair have been locked in a bitter war of the words since Noel sensationally quit the Britpop band backstage at Rock en Seine, Paris, in 2009.
Noel, who largely refrains from using social media, decided to air his feelings about his younger brother’s latest single Once. And, as you’d expect, he wasn’t full of praise.
“Nothing to see here dudes and dollies,” Noel tweeted his 1.2 million followers.
“Silence is golden… and just in case you weren’t already aware someone still has a new single out.

“I believe it’s called Once which is the exact amount of times it should be played.”
He concluded: “It’s still available in all good record shops but mostly in the s**t ones. Happy Sunday.”
Naturally, Noel’s remarks didn’t go unnoticed by social networkers, many of whom descended on Liam’s page to see what he thought about his estranged sibling’s jibe.

One wrote: “Liam did you see Noel plugging Once earlier?”
“Well he might as well as there no point in plugging his pile of s**t,” Liam responded.
Meanwhile, another user put: “Quite funny that Noel’s piping up now… after years in the Twitter silence wilderness?
“He’s snookered,” he replied. “Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. “The people have his number,” he added. “F***ed it.”

Liam, who is currently performing in Italy, is already working on a third album following the success of his second release Why Me? Why Not.
The musician’s latest record topped the charts last year, and in a recent interview with Zane Lowe, the singer revealed the title for his upcoming album.
“It’s called ‘Come On You Know’. Going to be pure positive,” he said.
