Little Mix to get Madame Tussauds wax models after 'melt Olly Murs figure' rant

Brit girl band Little Mix are to get their own Madam Tussauds waxwork models – just days after singer Jade Thirlwall moaned they didn’t have them, it is claimed.

The four-piece pop combo are said to be next in line for the honour of getting their own dodgy doppelganger in the coming months, with bosses keen to tap into their popularity.

Feisty Jade, 27, had previously joked that Olly Murs’ waxwork could be melted down in order to supply the wax for a model of the Black Magic singers.

She said: “I think we deserve one. Budgeting permitting, get those four waxworks out there because come on, we’ve earned our place.”

The singer added “You can melt down Olly Murs and make it into us.”

A source has told The Sun that bosses at the museum will be making lookalikes of the singers who have been praised for championing girl power alongside stars such as Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande.

Speaking to the publication, the insider said: “Madame Tussauds is always monitoring what celebrities are popular and which ones aren’t.

“It has championed girl power in the past couple of years with new statues of Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande.”

They continued: “Little Mix seem a natural fit in London. The team are looking at how they can make it happen and whether there is space inside the exhibits for four new statues, which is quite an undertaking.

“It’s a case of working out who can be moved out to make room for more relevant stars like Little Mix.”

However, don’t expect to see their waxworks any time soon as it takes around four months for each figure to be made and perfected.

A spokesperson for Madame Tussauds said: “We always keep a keen eye on what’s happening in the world of celebrity — watch this space.”
