Little Mix babe Jade Thirlwell has alleged that a fallout with former boss Simon Cowell’s music label Syco Music has had a lasting impact on the group’s career.
Jade , 27, opened up about the group making the decision to change record label as well as herself and bandmates Perrie Edwards , Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson feeling as though they couldn’t be as feminist in their hits as they wished to be.
The year 2018 saw the quartet record their fifth album, LM5, but mid-production the girls were forced to move to Sony RCA after a fallout with The X Factor mogul’s label, Syco.
In a candid discussion, Newcastle-born Jade revealed the effect the fall out had on the songstresses and their career.

Jade revealed that the group were not allowed to be as empowering as they wanted to be during their fifth album, which went on to achieve global success.
She said: “We did a little bit but we had a switch of labels during the LM5 process and that really f***ed us over.
“It was harder to put all our creativity out there in the way we would have liked. The LM5 album was very heavily on women’s rights and our experiences in the industry.”

Reports at the time suggested that Little Mix called out their former label exec Simon in an email over writing credits.
Simon later went on to cut all ties with the group – who made history by becoming the first group to win The X Factor.
Chatting to The Sun, Jade added: “We’re sort of cruising at the moment. That period in our careers was quite troublesome. I feel like now we’re in a good place — we’re with RCA and we’re working on a new record, which is really exciting.
“We’ve learnt to really stick to our guns and do what we believe in.”
Despite dominating the charts and touring the world, Little Mix are not relaxing just yet.
The girls have launched their own talent show, The Search which will rival the programme that catapulted them to fame.
