Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has branded controversial royal Meghan Markle the new Kim Kardashian after reports claimed she will film a reality TV documentary with Prince Harry.
According to fresh reports, Harry and Meghan’s new show will be part of their multimillion deal with Netflix.
Unable to hold back his annoyance on Monday’s edition of GMB, Piers let rip at the revelation – with his normally supportive co-host Susanna Reid also admitting she’s falling out of love with Meghan.
Turning to Susanna, Piers said: “As the most ardent Meghan fan in the world…”
“I’m a great defender of the Duchess,” Susanna interjected.

Piers continued: “When will it drop that she came over here, took our prince and the titles, went back to Hollywood.
“I mean, a £112million deal with Netflix on the back of her royal status.
“And now Miss Privacy has now, for one of the films she’s done for £112million, is a fly-on-the-wall documentary. Every part of their lives is going to be filmed!
“At what point do these scales come down from your eyes?!”

Unable to defend the decision, Susanna continued: “Well, I do think I’ve reached the tipping point.
“I am really private and I think if you are going to complain about intrusion into your privacy, having a fly-on-the-wall documentary about your private life is not the message you should be sending!”
Piers jibed: “She really is the new Kim Kardashian, isn’t she?”
Opening up about the Netflix deal, a source said: “They may have had all these lofty ideas about producing epics highlighting environmental causes and the poverty gap, but Netflix obviously want their pound of flesh.”
The Sun added that the couple “will be followed for three months” but it is unknown if cameras will be allowed into their £11.5million home in Montecito.
The source added: “Much of the docuseries will be about their philanthropy rather than what they get up to behind closed doors.
“But it will still be a fascinating insight and Meghan hopes viewers will get to see the real her.”
A rep for Netflix said: “The couple already have several projects in development, including an innovative nature docuseries and an animated series that celebrates inspiring women.
“But we are not disclosing any of the programming slate at this time.”
