Myles Stephenson has opened up about the racial abuse he receives on a “daily basis” which leaves him “crying most days”.
The Rak-Su singer revealed he’s been a target of racism since a young age, recalling how he has been nearly “run over multiple times”.
Speaking in an interview with this week’s OK! Magazine, the I’m a Celeb star explained: ‘I’ve grown up with racism, being mixed race. I’ve woken up most days and cried to myself because it hurts.
“I still experience racism on a daily basis. I’ve been chased out of towns because of racism when I was younger by grown men and nearly run over multiple times.”

He continued: “Ashley (Fongho) from Rak-Su was also there and we had to run five miles back to his house.”
While racial hate has been challenged in recent weeks, the musician admitted there’s still a long way to go.
“Be it just a comment on Instagram or getting it physically, it hurts just as much. There’s a lot that still needs to be done.'”
His interview comes weeks after Myles, along with his Rak-Su bandmates, created a track based on the issues related to the Black Lives Matter movement sparked by the killing of George Floyd – a black man who died while a white cop knelt on his neck for over eight minutes in Minneapolis, America.
“People need to realise it’s still rife in today’s society and we need more diversity in the government and to support black-owned businesses,” he concluded.

The musician has spent most of his lockdown at his family home recovering from injuries he sustained from a freak snowboarding accident in Andorra earlier this year.
He suffered broken ribs, a ruptured spleen and internal bleeding following the horrific incident, which took place in February.
Sharing an update with the publication, he said: “I’ve still got a bit of blood on my lungs, but over the last few weeks I’ve been able to start having rehabilitation and personal training.
