Netflix Tiger King's Joe Exotic could be pardoned by Donald Trump

President of the United States Donald Trump has said he will “take a look” at pardoning Joe Exotic.

Joe Exotic, who appeared in Netflix’s Tiger King series was convicted of two counts of the attempted murder-for-hire of Carole Baskin, eight counts of violating the Lacey Act for falsifying wildlife records, and nine counts of violating the Endangered Species Act on April 2 2019.

During a press conference today Donald Trump was quizzed about Joe Exotic by a reporter, after Donald Trump’s oldest son Donald Trump Jr said he felt Joe’s sentencing was “aggressive” after watching the documentary series.

Trump Jr had tweeted: “Now, I don’t even know exactly what he was charged with … I watched the show, but it was like, I don’t know exactly what he was guilty of or wasn’t.

“It doesn’t seem like he was totally innocent of anything. But when they’re saying, ‘We’re putting this guy away for 30 years,’ I’m saying that seems sort of aggressive.”

When Donald Trump Sr was quizzed on his son’s comments, Donald Trump asked: “Which son?

“It must be Don. I had a feeling it was Don.

“I know nothing about it … he has 22 for what? What did he do?”

After the reporter explained Joe Exotic (real name Joe Maldonado-Passage’s) case, Trump responded: “Do you think he didn’t do it?

“Are you on his side? Are you recommending a pardon?”

He then asked the other journalists at the press conference if they would recommend pardoning the former Big Cat owner, before concluding that he will “take a look” into the case.
